Getting around Scotland
Within Scotland you can get almost anywhere by using a combination of trains, buses, ferries and your own two wheels - all it takes is some careful planning. Generally speaking, places in the more densely populated central belt can be easily reached by bus and train but services are less frequent in the north and south and especially in the remoter parts of the Highlands and Islands. Many of the beautiful and remote islands off the coast of Scotland are accessible by ferry.
